Das Lexikon veröffentlicht wissenschaftlich erarbeitete und validierte Kurzbiographien in alphabetischer Reihenfolge, die jeweils weiterführende Literaturangaben enthalten. Somit wird ein umfassendes Panorama all jener erstellt, die in der Region vom Mittelalter bis zur Gegenwart relevant waren, Einfluss ausübten und sie damit prägten. Bearbeitet wurden bisher mehr als 16.000 Kurzbiogramme.
